Following a couple of months off from racing action, Michael Davis returned to the racetrack on Friday night, August 27 at the 250 Speedway in Cadiz, Ohio! Piloting a #65M Open Wheel Modified for Bruce Takach, Michael ran third in heat race action to advance into the main event. The Rayland, Ohio native unfortunately had problems in the A-Main and wound up fifteenth in the final rundown. Full results from 250 can be located online at www.250speedway.com.

The Davis Motorsports team brought their #7m Super Late Model to the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, May 29. Unfortunately, Michael Davis' car suffered from handling problems all night long and he wound up seventeenth in the final rundown of the A-Main. "Hot Rod" Michael Davis ventured to the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, May 15 for another Open Wheel Modified event. Unfortunately, Michael suffered terminal motor problems early in the night and did not start the A-Main. The Rayland, Ohio driver plans to take the upcoming May 21-22 weekend off from racing action to regroup from his recent string of bad luck.

Michael Davis traveled to the nearby 250 Speedway in Cadiz, Ohio on Friday night, May 7 for a regular weekly Open Wheel Modified event. Michael won his heat race and was leading the feature until a red flag situation. During the red flag period, Michael got out of his car to check on teammate Bruce Takach, who was involved in the incident. Unfortunately, the Rayland, Ohio native was black-flagged for getting out of his car and relegated to a tenth place finish. "Hot Rod" Michael Davis competed in both Open Wheel Modified and Dirt Late Model action over the April 30 and May 1 weekend at two different venues in the states of Ohio and Pennsylvania. On Friday night, Michael wound up eighth in the final rundown of the $2,000 to win Modified special at the Midway Speedway in Crooksville, Ohio. At the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, Michael suffered mechanical problems on his #7m Super Late Model and was credited with an eleventh place finish.
